Friday in Billund

The last conference day will be spend in Billund, home of the LEGO Group and the LEGO Foundation

In the morning on Friday, June 20, all IDC 14 Conference participants will go by busses to Billund, 1 ½ hours bus drive from Aarhus. The LEGO Foundation co-hosts this day where we will focus on how children grow and create with digital tools.
On our way to Billund we will discuss in pairs our individual perspectives on the topic, and upon arrival at Hotel LEGOLAND we will kick-off the program by hearing keynote speaker Marilyn Fleer from Monash University talk about young children’s use of creative tools. In the afternoon there will be a LEGO Challenge session facilitated by the LEGO Foundation and LEGO employees from different product development departments.
You will also get the opportunity to join a tour to the LEGO factory or the LEGO Idea House, where you can explore the LEGO Heritage learn the amazing story of a family belief in an idea, the meaning and the substance of the LEGO name, brand and reason for being.
We will end the conference with a Closing Panel session where topics from the IDC 14 Conference will be discussed in the light of the overall question How does the interaction with digital creative tools support child development? You will of course be invited to join the discussion.

Spending Friday night or the weekend in the LEGOLAND Park in Billund

As participant at the IDC 14 Conference you will get a free entrance ticket to the LEGOLAND Park in Billund on saturday.  The Conference will end at 4.30 pm Friday and you will get a discount voucher for the LEGO shop.  You can also choose to stay at Hotel LEGOLAND for the night.
